Motorcycle Rider Dies in South US Crash
Armando Balzano, 38, Succumbs to Injuries
Port St. Lucie, FL – A tragic motorcycle crash on Saturday evening claimed the life of a 38-year-old man, identified as Armando Balzano.
According to the Port St. Lucie Police Department, Balzano was riding a motorcycle westbound on South US Highway 1 when he collided with an SUV at the intersection of Johnson Street. Witnesses reported that the SUV made a left turn in front of Balzano, causing him to lose control and crash.
Balzano was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the SUV, a 27-year-old woman, was not injured.
Balzano's death marks the second fatal motorcycle crash in Port St. Lucie this week. On Wednesday, another motorcyclist was killed in a separate crash. Police are urging motorists to be aware of motorcyclists and to yield the right-of-way when appropriate.
